Overview:

The Autism Society San Diego is dedicated to providing high quality, consistent aquatic programs for children and adults with autism and their families. Because many families living in the area are near the ocean and swimming pools, it is of high priority to our organization that as many children and adults with autism learn to swim to avoid drowning.

Individuals 3 years and older.

Aqua Pros Swim Lesson Information

If San Diego Regional Center funding is not available, scholarships for Aqua Pros swim lessons may be available through Autism Society San Diego

Participants are eligible for a 2-month scholarship. One scholarship per participant.
Participants will swim twice per week, 1/2 hour each lesson, one on one lesson for 8 weeks (16 lessons total)·
The scholarship is $320 which is funded by the Autism Society San Diego. Families pay $240.
Days and times of lessons will be scheduled by the swim school. Eligible participants will be contacted when their name is at the top of the list.

Please DO NOT contact Aqua Pros Swim School to register for swim lesson scholarships. The only way to access this program is by emailing or calling the Autism Society San Diego office.

What:

One-on-one swimming lessons for 1/2 hour, twice weekly for two months. The lessons are provided by a trained, autism swim instructor for children and adults with autism.

Cost/Financial Aid Info:

Families with financial hardship may be eligible for additional funding to cover the family portion of cost for their children to participate. Contact our office for financial aid application.
